One of the first things you might notice about my recipes is that they are seldom explicit instructions with defined ratios. My grandma started teaching me how to cook when I was very young. Since then, I've used cook books merely as a starting point and further incorporated techniques I've learned through trial and error, or inspiration from my gourmet club experiences.
Don't be afraid to experiment, the worst that will happen is it doesn't work and you have to order pizza.
